The A4 bag

a4bag.jpg

What is it about Melbourne and funky bags, ok so the Melbourne is the Australian capital of fashion, and cycling (which led to the popularity of crumpler bags) but here is another great set of bags - this one the A4 bag is made of felt and comes in fabulous colours, made by Portfoli-oh! . Yours for $40 AUD from Rushfaster (the online bag store!)

Mattt Bags (with three tee's)

mattt.jpg

I have decided that after my long absence Streuth needs more focus, so part of the focus from now on is to be that much more parochial, from now on I will endeavour to focus on Australia and Melbourne first, that doesn't mean I am going to ignore the other goodies, just means I will have more opportunities to bring you great local talent like Matt's Bags.

Yes this is the home of Crumpler and we do have a wealth of great bags (I for one have at least 20 bags all for various purposes) but Matt's bags have a lovely style about them, great for the laptop, great for going out boys or girls.

check the site out http://www.mattt.com.au

and you can find him (as I did) at St Kilda Markets on a Sunday!

Nikon D80

frontview-001.jpg

To reference the fantastic DP Review (read the real review by clicking the link below) Two and a half years ago Nikon announced the D70 (6mp), fifteen months later Nikon launched the D70s which minor subtle tweaks and now another fifteen months on from the D70s Nikon present the ten megapixel D80.

ohh this is truely lovely, what you wouldn't do to get yr mits on one...!

http://www.dpreview.com/articles/nikond80/

The D80 ships at $999 USD for body only.

at the same time Nikon have anounced a new lens - an 18-135mm due for release in September... (in fact in perfect time for Christmas?)

To Jam or To Treo?

JASJAM_techdetail_2.jpgpalm-treo-700wx-la.jpg

ok this is hard one.... which phone is the one that you want, on the simple specs you would immediately pick the JASJAM but is that right? what with its 2megapixel camera vs the TREO's 1.3 or with the fact that it will launch with 850 as well as 1900 and 2100 mmmm quad band gsm + triband wcdma/hsdpa...

But no more than all of that the JASJAM has a 400mhz processor vs the 312mhz in the TREO - game over..

For my money I'd go for the Imate JASJAM.

BTW - yes I know a couple of months between entries is kind of a long time, however now we can get back to biz, we might even give the site a facelift - lets face it, it kind of needs it!
