I love to come across these tools or things that are incredibly dumb, here is a perfect example. The electric marshmallow toaster is just such a tool and you will probably be rushing out to buy one based on this brief review!
The electric motor which uses 4 AA batteries whips around the 3 rotating spikes, ok so it doesn't rotate and revolve (potential for an enhancement) but now you can go beyond the trusty burnt stick you have been using previously.

![]() | This is very, very cool - I got to look at one the other day and I am smitten by the small slick device. Not only is it windows 5.0 device with all of the features you expect of a Smartphone - it features quad band 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900, it has WiFi and it is bluetooth compatible. With 65mb of storage for games, music and downloads and 128mb of ROM for applications and it is expandable!!!!
It has a 1.3 megapixel camera, and finally it has a full QWERTY keyboard which slides away - and all this is so small and neat it fits in the palm of your hand. check it out at www.imate.com |

![]() | The cyclepod is a cool idea that is bound to get the architects near you very excited and the cyclists groaning.
As you can see from the picture this smart contraption can be used to lock 4 bikes, and some models even feature an umbrella extension to keep the bike dry. However as most bike commuters will tell you, they just want more places to lock up, and 4 places using such a large space hardly seems practical - maybe I am just being a kill joy and need more sleep, but if they brought this to my work place it would service 1/10th of the regular cyclists! make your own mind up www.cyclepods.co.uk |

Now let me start by saying that while this is a very cool unit, the concept is remove the complication of setting up 5 (or 7) surround sound speakers, and replace them with one very cool looking unit that sits directly under your plasma screen (just what I have been looking for).
The box holds 21 mini speakers and 2 sub woofers which are automagically set up to create sound bounce off the rear wall of your room using a system called intellibeam.
So no more wires. Cool now for wireless integration to the amplifier .....

In a time where everything runs on USB and you keep running out of ports, this is a very cool innovation. The Belkin USB hub is wireless, using Motorola ultra wideband technology (which is said to be a hundred times faster than bluetooth). Think for a second, i could plug in my drink cooler, fan, extra drives, camera and still have them wireless - oh to the endless possibilities...
The other logical question is will USB continue to dominate as the peripheral integration method of choice? Or will a wireless technology or Firewire or something else come of age. With many of today's desktop pc's offering 8-12 usb 2.0 ports is it even necessary?
You decide, Belkin will release this in the next few months prices is expected to be about $130 usd

Get lucky with the lucky beer, made by the lucky drink company in Rutherglen Victoria (Australia), spectacular in its presentation (the green buddah bottle) the stylish six pack features the words "The path to heaven flows with liquid gold; and luck is the inheritance of the chosen few - join the faithfull" - ok so this is marketing hype but the beer is excellent and promises to be 'natural' what ever that means.
All in all this product is so good, it deserves to be expensive (and it is at $4.95 per bottle) go on do your self a favour and be lucky...
ps - sorry about the long break, a long and deserved holiday in spain has given me a wealth of new ideas..
